Welcome to 2nd grade! My name is Vicki Taubken. This year will be unique in many ways and I am committed to your child's safety and academic success. I am so excited to be your child's teacher and am looking forward to a year of learning, exploring, and growing together! I have been a teacher for 9 years. I began working at PHES when the doors first opened as a kindergarten assistant and soon realized I loved being at school! I have been married to my husband Jay for 34 years. We have two children, a son, and a daughter. Both of them attended and graduated from DCS schools. They are now married and beginning families of their own. We have two grandchildren. Their names are Oliver and Ivy. I would love to tell you about them ANYTIME. I am a member of the Olive Branch Church of Christ. I love my family, my church family, and spending time with them. I also enjoy home craft projects and movies!!

News to Know

Welcome! Some information you need to know:

Students' First Day is Thursday, August 5th
In an effort to maintain the safest environment possible, students will be walking in by themselves on the first days of school. There will be teachers and staff in the rotunda to assist your child.
2nd grade Activity Fee is $20. Please submit by Friday, August 13th. You may pay online or send in a check made payable to PHES.
Please be sure and read the information packet for your student, complete and return any forms and return as soon as possible.
